If you're a fan of the cartoon series Avatar: The last airbender then maybe you should watch out for this movie! Paramount Pictures will release on 2010 the 'Last Airbender' and I'm sure everyone will be excited for this.
Noah Ringer will portray as Aang and I heard that he knew martial art so that would be nice because fight scenes would look normal in the film. Also starring are Jackson Rathbone as Sokka, Nicola Peltz as Katara and Dev Patel as Zuko. Yes! you heard it right Dev Patel of Slumdog Millionaire is part of the cast. I heard that the original Zuko should be the singer Jesse McCartney but because the of schedule problem then Dev Patel got the part. I think that Dev Patel is more appropriate to be Zuko because I believe that the part needs a really good acting skills to make it love and hate by audiences. Right?
I really hope that this would not be another trying hard Dragonball Evolution. I hate that movie, for not bringing justice to a really good anime! dah!

This movie is especially for those people who are book-addicts and those who really reads books and sometimes wish to be inside those books. Just like me, I once hope to be inside the Harry Potter books, to be a wizard too and to be able to study at Hogwarts, to be able to play quidditch and do magics and spells and jinx... Heres a movie that somehow similar to those dreams, you've got to watch Inkheart. Starring Brendan Fraser as Mo Folchart, a bookbinder. What is cool in this movie is that Mo is a 'Silvertongue', it means that he can bring characters from books to life when he read it aloud. But the only drawback in his ability is when he brings out something out of a story something must go back in to replace it. That's how her daughter Meggie and him lost Theresa, his wife. It is also the reason why he and his daughter travel to find that antique book which is entitled "Inkheart", because its the last book he read before his wife disappeared and some characters(Capricorn and Basta, two villains, and Dustfinger, a fire-eater) come to life. The journey begins when Mo and Meggie at last found the book... but Capricorn was after Mo, he wants Mo to use his ability to give him power and riches... Can Mo and Meggie find their way on getting back their mother... can they make it on time before the page reaches the "and they live happily ever after" line...

Remember the movie "Jumper"? Jumpers are the one who can teleport themselves on whatever place they want. But hey! Did you ever heard of a Pusher? This pusher are not those drug addicts... they are also not those people you scold in works... lol... these are psychic people who can literally push things on their mind. This movie is really intriguing for me, personally this is one of those movies where you really feel curious about the story. Its about Nick Gant, a second-generation telekinetic or "mover" who comes from the psychic warrior family. His in hiding since the government agency/Division killed his father. He met Cassie Holmes, a 13-year-old clairvoyant or "watcher" and help her on finding Kira an escaped "pusher" who they said has the key in ending the Division's program. With Kira most dangerous psychic powers, influencing other's actions by implanting thoughts in their minds. With Division Agent Henry Carver who is also a pusher keeping and stopping them from achieving their goals... can Nick and Cassie find the key to all of this?

Alerted to the threat of this new monster, the military jumps into action and Susan is captured and secreted away to a covert government compound. There, she is renamed Ginormica and placed in confinement with a ragtag group of other monsters: the brilliant but insect-headed Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D.; the macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link; the gelatinous and indestructible B.O.B.; and the 350-foot grub called Insectosaurus. Their confinement is cut short, however, when a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth and begins storming the country. In a moment of desperation, The President is persuaded by General W.R. First of all, i just want to say... that I myself cant believe that a anime like this has been made into reality. Wow, im still amaze by this coz last time its just a rumor, a gossip but now look! its real and right in front of you! Dragonball is a very colorful and sometimes funny anime but full of actions. I am really a fan of that anime (even it is really long...). This is one of the anime that i started and i was able to finish it until its last episodes. The story was really cool because it started when GOKU was little until he bacame a man until to the point he become a grandfather (astig na lolo!).
Movie description:
18 years old, Goku is considered uncool and unpopular at school, but he is in fact an extremely talented martial arts fighter who gets rigorous training from his grandfather, Gohan. After the death of his grandfather by the evil Lord Piccolo, Goku finds his destiny in his grandfather’s dying request that he find Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls (of which he has one) in order to prevent Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the dragonballs to take over the world. Trained by Master Roshi, aided by Bulma and Yamcha, friends he meets along the way, Goku proves himself a formidable, almost undefeatable fighter. On many dangerous adventures to find the remaining Dragon Balls and thus save the world, Goku conquers physical and emotional challenges, ultimately saving the world but clearly impelled to spend his life searching for the Dragon Balls with his trusty companions…
Cast:
- Goku (Justin Chatwin)
- Bulma (Emmy Rossum)
- Yamcha (Joon Park)
- Master Roshi (Chow Yun-Fat)
- Lord Piccolo (James Marsters)
- Mai (Eriko Tamura)
- Chi-Chi (Jamie Chung)
- Grandpa Gohan (Randall Duk Kim)
- Other Characters
now heres what were waiting for... here's the TRAILER.. ive got it from their site its http://dbthemovie.com ... you can visit it for more details...
the trailer was really simple awesome! because when im thinkin of this anime making into a movie i was thinkin of who will act as Goku? is the actor will make his hair like GOKU in anime... stuffs like that i was amaze that they made it in their own version. First of all, i think they change some parts in the story and some of the characters are not there, theyre not complete. Second they make in Piccolo Saga, i thought it would be Vegeta Saga or the Sayans Saga.. but well its their movie not mine.
I am really looking forward to this movie... not so amazing SFX but i think its worth it. Piccolo was really somewhat funny, hehehe...

Windstruck Review
by: Joseph San Agustin <781227>
Sound:
The soundtrack of the movie was good. I was amaze of how Korean singers sing English songs. Though the voice quality of the singers is not so nice but they have connected it to the movie that makes the movie more effective. Sound are very important in a movie, its one of the most important elements in producing good quality movie and what’s good in the Windstruck movie is they have these different genre of music to fit their scenes. I really love that jolly song when they play in the rain, and they also made a slow and dramatic version of that song that really fit the mood during the river scene. [8/10]
Cast and Crew:
They have done a good job in finding a powerhouse cast for the movie. The tandem of Jeon and Jang Hyuk was really good, they have their chemistry. The tandem was really nice because the two of them fit comedy and drama as well. And what’s good about the movie was they have focused more in the character and the story unlike the Filipino movie that continually add characters that made confusion for the viewers. [9/10]
Genre:
I really find the genre cute, its comedy drama. It was really amazing when at first it was more comedy but at the end it became dramatic. The first part was really funny; it makes the audience to ask for more. The ending scenes were a little boring, but overall its fine because they have still catch the attention of the audience. [8/10]
Storyline:
All I can say is that the storyline of the movie was really great. How they create the story, the plots, the conflicts and the twist it was really amazing. It was really fantastic that they keep the audience going to crave for more. All the things was great except for some little things like when the girl tell the story about her twins, its like why did they have to tell the story of the girl’s twin sister, all I thought that there was something in there that is connected to the story. It has a little connection because it tells why the girl don’t play the black keys in the piano but the story about the twin was too long that it seems to have a significance in the story but at the end it looks like an adlib only. But other than that, the movie was great I even love the story of why people use their pinkies in making promises. HAHA it’s really funny, because the story was so long. What’s good in the movie is that they give the audience a clue that there can be a sequel. [9/10]
Special Effects:
I think this really the area that the movie lacks or should I say have many faults. Like in the raid-scene, the girl have a gun that have a 6 bullet capacity, then when the action comes she continually makes more than 6 shots without reloading, it’s like she have a instant reloader or something like that which makes the scene not so convincing. I really don’t like the effects in the ending part (the part where the boy bids his last goodbye to the girl because it’s his 49th day), it’s like there were too much light in the room, I know that it suppose to have lights but not too much I think. The background (the cloud thingy) was really not so good, it’s like they put it for to-have-background sake. I think they should improve on visual effects but other than that the movie was great. [3/10]
Overall Rating: [8/10]
